Why?

Mostly because I have my own idea of a culinary experience that is unique, so why not start with the basics of a meal, something to put your food on.

Who?

My mother (Ann De Kimpe) has more then 10 years of experience in the ceramic world.

where I help with the shaping and also creating something new and different.

How long till some plate are ready?

Mostly this is a misunderstanding that you can make plates in a week or 2 ... I learned that this is very much wrong.
Rolling and drying clay already takes 2-3 weeks, then you still need to bake it, which takes 2 days, glaze is (to make it foodsafe), dry and bake it again.

So this can take up to 1,5-2 month for just a few plates.
